No official due date has been released by the palace, but in October it was revealed that Kate’s expecting her third baby in April.
Royal watchers have previously estimated the Duchess will give birth late in the month, as her pregnancy was announced on September 4, 2017, presumably after she reached the 12-week mark.
And earlier this week, parking restrictions were put up outside of the private Lindo Wing, where Kate is expected to have her third child.
The restrictions expire on April 30, though they’re able to be extended, as they were when Princess Charlotte was overdue.
When Kate had Prince George in 2013 and Princess Charlotte in 2015, the official parking suspension notices went up more than two weeks before she gave birth.
The fact the sign for baby number three only went up this week suggests that the Duchess is definitely due later in the month rather than sooner.
If she gives birth on April 21st, the new baby will share a birthday with the Queen, who turns 92 that day. And on April 29, it’s William and Kate’s seventh wedding anniversary. If Kate goes overdue, the newest royal could share their birthday with their older sister, as Princess Charlotte was born on May 2nd.
We won’t know exactly when Kate goes into labour, but reporters will be informed when she arrives at the hospital, and they’ll then be allowed to set up their cameras outside the front steps.
